What is New Day?

New Day has a Two-Fold Mission:

1)  To provide respite and vacation for families and individuals with developmental disabilities.  We provide a state contracted recreation for those individuals who live with parents, siblings, sponsers, guardians, group homes, or who live in supervised apartments.

2)  To train high school and college students to interact and work with the developmentally delayed population and people of various handicaps.

NDC is under the auspices of Catholic Community Services of Newark. CCS provides our insurance and administrative support. NDC is a recreational and respite service for the mission of ministry for CCS.

New Day Community is founded upon Judeo-Christian Values. We recognize and appreciate the uniqueness and positive contributions of all races and creeds. We thrive on the mutuality of gender relations and welcome discussions and enlightenment about new ideas and ideals of every culture.

The directors of NDC have almost 50 years of experience in summer camp administration.
